I’ve been sitting on these GORGEOUS photos for over a month now and let me tell you…it was KILLING me! Sherree and Jake got married Friday, so now I can finally post them! Sherree looked absolutely stunning in her dress…

Sherree – I am SO incredibly happy for you and I was honored to be able to stand with you as a bridesmaid while you married your Jakey-Poo!
Love,
Shanna

Bethany and Nathan are engaged to be married next year and quite possibly have the cutest proposal story EVER. It involves a sweet kitty-cat and it’s new “Will You Marry Me?” tag….cute, cute, cute! We got together last weekend at Bear Creek Park in Keller to get some photos of their kiddos all together…

Bethany & Nathan – Congratulations on your engagement and the joining of your families! I could not be any happier for you!
Love,
Shanna
Lindsey is hands down the prettiest, sweetest, nicest (did I say prettiest yet? ok…good!) senior girl ever! She’s a captain on her school’s drill team and has danced all her life. Her beauty is absolutely effortless…porcelain skin, natural curls, and a gorgeous smile. We got together at the McKinney Cotton Mill to shoot her senior pictures and I seriously could not be happier with how great they turned out! As I was editing her photos, I told Lindsey that I “might seriously poop my pants” over their awesomeness! I wasn’t even kidding…

*I am seriously OBSESSED with Lindsey’s boots! She said she got them at Nordstrom last year and I MUST track down a pair. HUDSON! If you’re reading this I totally thought of you when I saw them!

Lindsey – You, my dear, are beautiful…inside and out! I hope you have the time of your life senior year and just remember that even though this feels like the end…it really is the beginning of so many new things. You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to and work at! Also, rock those boots more often…or I’m coming to get them…haha!
Gwen and Joe – Thank you for choosing me to photograph your gorgeous daughter. She is truly the sweetest thing ever and I know that’s all because of you two!

Can you believe this year is already HALF OVER? Where on earth did it go? Sweet little Ethan was born the same week as Christmas and now he’s 6 months old! We met up at Nash Farm in Grapevine for some family photos and the light was juuuust right for one of my favorite things ever…SUN FLARE!!

If a sweet baby boy planting a big ‘ol kiss on his mama doesn’t melt your heart….then you may need to have your ticker checked out!

You may remember Ashley from Ashley and Cooper’s engagement session in the bluebonnets. I can’t believe their wedding is just around the corner! Ashley and I went to the historic Fort Worth Stockyards to shoot her bridal portraits because, as she said, “She’s a little bit country”…I love it! It was easily a hundred degrees outside, but judging by these photos, you would never know it! Ashley didn’t complain about the heat even once, which is pretty commendable in Texas in JUNE! I’m pretty sure that when I had my own bridal portraits taken last month, the heat was ALL I could talk about or think about. Ahhh, the things we sacrifice for great photos…

I posted these photos before their wedding because Ashley assured me that Cooper is hardly ever on the internet, much less on my site. I’m counting on that, because I can’t WAIT to photograph the moment Cooper sees Ashley in her wedding dress for the first time!

After I got together with Denise, Jason, and their cute kiddos for photos last month, I got a very sweet email from Jason’s mother. She loved the photos and wanted to get the whole family together for some family photos before Jason left for the Army. I don’t know how she was able to find a day where 4 generations of family were all available at the same time, but somehow, she did it!

I couldn’t think of a better way to end this post than with sweet little Bekah’s beautiful smile!
Audri is a theater major at UTA and needed some new head-shots taken. We went to downtown Fort Worth and had TONS of fun taking these photos! Chelsea also came along so, between the three of us there may have been more silliness at times than actual picture taking, even though we were racing to finish before the sun went down.
Sweet Audri Jean is seriously one of the most beautiful (inside and out!), kind-hearted, honest, AMAZING people I’ve ever met! She’s an excellent listener, fiercely loyal, and also super intelligent! On top of all of that, she’s loads of fun, too! Boys…she’s also SINGLE (don’t hate me, Audri)!

Did I already mention how fun she is??

I did mention that she’s single, right? Oh…I did? Just making sure…!
The thing I love the most about photographing babies is getting to see all the new things they’ve learned since I saw them last. It absolutely melts my heart to see them smiling or hear their cute little squeals and giggles for the first time! The last time I saw Kellen was for his newborn photos and MAN he was one cute newborn! See what I mean…

Now that he’s growing, he smiles, laughs, and even rolls over! But, my absolute favorite change is all of the silly faces he makes now…

Kellen must have the tastiest fingers in the world because he seriously goes to town on them! When he gets really serious about it you can even hear his slurping sounds over the baby monitor!

Isn’t he just the cutest?!

After an entire day of sun and heat, dark clouds poured in about 20 minutes before our session was supposed to begin at Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth. Nick and Chelsea have been so busy that this was our third attempt at getting together for photos, so we were a little freaked out at first. But we were determined not to ummm get our parade rained on? Yeah…I went there. Turns out we had nothing to worry about and for us, the third time truly was a charm! The clouds and rain kept things cool and provided some crazy dramatic skies. Plus, the rain was just plain fun…until Nick nearly broke his knee! Just a warning…if you’re easily offended by kissing, happiness, or two people that are absolutely CRAZY about each other, you might want to stop reading now….

After a while it started thundering LOUD and raining on us so we ducked into Barnes & Noble for a few minutes…

Next we headed across the street to The Flying Saucer, where Nick and Chelsea had their first date. On the way over there, Nick and Chelsea were brave enough to take some photos in the rain! I wish you could tell how hard it was raining in these photos…even still, I LOVE the way these turned out!

To toast to the most fun engagement photo session ever, we each had a black velvet. A black velvet is half Guinness and half Ace Pear Cider and it is absolutely DELICIOUS!

Chelsea and Nick,
Thank you both for being SO fun and SO down for doing absolutely anything in the name of good photos (Nick…I hope your knee isn’t broken…seriously)! I cannot wait for your wedding!
Love,
Shanna
